Privacy Policy

What we collect

Depending on how you use ChurchMatchUp, we may process search preferences and general location, church profile information, account and administrator details, billing-related identifiers, support communications, service usage events, and information you voluntarily provide through Plan a Visit.

How we use information

We use information to provide church matching, operate church profiles and accounts, deliver Plan a Visit requests, process subscriptions, provide analytics, prevent misuse, troubleshoot the service, communicate with users, and improve ChurchMatchUp.

Plan a Visit privacy

When you submit Plan a Visit, the contact information you provide is used to deliver your request to the selected church. ChurchMatchUp is designed to delete visitor personally identifiable information after successful delivery while retaining anonymous lead counts and operational records that do not identify the visitor. Failed or undeliverable requests may be held only as needed to complete or troubleshoot delivery and are not intended to become a marketing list.

Anonymous community insights

We may aggregate searches and other activity into anonymous community-level demand insights for churches. These insights are designed to describe trends without providing churches with seeker email addresses or identifying individual seekers.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. ChurchMatchUp does not need to store full payment-card numbers. We may retain Stripe customer, subscription, invoice, payment, and refund identifiers needed to administer billing and resolve support issues.

Church communications and contact choices

ChurchMatchUp may contact a church using publicly available or otherwise legitimately obtained church contact information when the church appears in a ChurchMatchUp search, to invite the church to review or claim its information, or for reasonable service-related communication.

If a recipient reports a message as spam, we suppress that specific email address from future search-result outreach. A church may also ask us not to contact the church again, in which case we may maintain a suppression record so the request can be honored. Suppression records may be retained even when other contact data is removed.

Service providers

We use service providers to operate ChurchMatchUp, including hosting/database, payment, and email-delivery providers. They process information as needed to provide those services. We do not sell seeker personal information to churches or advertisers.

Retention and security

We retain information only as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, legal obligations, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and service operation. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You may contact us to ask about personal information associated with you, request correction or deletion where applicable, or raise a privacy concern. Some records may need to be retained when required for legitimate billing, security, legal, or operational reasons.

Children

ChurchMatchUp is intended for people searching for churches and church representatives. Children should not independently submit personal contact information through the service without appropriate parent or guardian involvement.

Policy changes

We may update this policy as ChurchMatchUp changes. The effective date above will identify the current version.
