Terms of Service

ChurchMatchUp is a church-discovery service. Recommendations are intended to identify churches that may be worth exploring based on the preferences you provide and the information currently available to us. A recommendation is not a guarantee that a church will be an exact fit for you or your family.

Match labels such as Best Match, Great Match, and Good Match are recommendations based on available information. They are not ratings of a church's quality, endorsements, theological judgments, or guarantees of compatibility. We encourage seekers to visit, ask questions, and make their own decision about whether a church is right for them.

Church information may come from churches themselves, publicly available sources, or our research. It may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate, and churches may change their beliefs, leadership, ministries, programs, service styles, schedules, or other practices after information is collected.

ChurchMatchUp does not endorse, certify, or independently verify every belief, teaching, practice, ministry, program, statement, or claim made by a church. Churches and authorized representatives may claim or update profiles and are responsible for the accuracy of information they submit.

Churches may not impersonate another organization, submit deceptive information, misuse visitor information, or interfere with the service.

Churches cannot pay for better placement in seeker match results. Enhanced membership provides additional tools, analytics and account features but does not buy a higher match score or ranking.

Plan a Visit lets a seeker voluntarily provide contact information so a selected church can respond. Churches receiving that information may use it only for the requested visit or reasonable related follow-up and must handle it responsibly.

Enhanced is a recurring paid subscription offered on monthly or annual billing. Prices shown at checkout apply until changed for a future purchase or renewal. Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before renewal.

Canceling stops the next renewal. Enhanced remains available through the end of the period already paid for, after which the church returns to Basic. Switching from monthly to annual may include a Stripe-calculated credit for unused monthly time.

Refund policy: Full refunds are available on request within 7 days of a new Enhanced purchase or renewal. An approved refund ends Enhanced access immediately. Requests outside 7 days may be reviewed individually but are not guaranteed. Refunds return to the original payment method and processing time depends on the financial institution.

We may contact churches using appropriate church contact information about their ChurchMatchUp listing, including when a church appears in a search or to invite an authorized representative to review or claim the listing. Recipients may ask us to stop using a particular email address, and an authorized church representative may ask us to stop outreach to the church. We may retain suppression information needed to honor those requests.

Keep account credentials secure and ensure that only authorized people manage a church. We may suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users, churches, the service, or investigate misuse.

ChurchMatchUp may suspend, restrict, remove, or terminate access to the Service, an account, a church profile, or any related features at any time, with or without notice, including when we believe it is necessary to protect the Service, its users, churches, or the integrity of our information. We may also discontinue providing all or part of the Service at any time.

Where appropriate, we may provide an opportunity to correct an issue before taking action, but we are not required to do so.

Being listed in ChurchMatchUp does not create a right to remain listed. We may remove, merge, suppress, correct, or decline to display a church profile when we determine that doing so is appropriate for the accuracy, integrity, safety, or operation of the Service.

We may improve, modify, suspend, or discontinue features. We work to keep ChurchMatchUp reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.

To the extent permitted by law, ChurchMatchUp is provided “as is” and we are not responsible for decisions, interactions, losses, or damages arising from reliance on church information, match results, third-party websites, or interactions between users and churches. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.

We may update these Terms as the service changes. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date and, when appropriate, additional notice.
